Okay, I just tried it myself and it fails on Wine.  My config.log shows that
struct sockaddr_in6 has the sin6_scope_id field, and sizeof(struct
sockaddr_in6) == 28 in Linux.  Therefore, the app is compiled not to expect the
scope id field.
