OK, maybe a correction to the prior posts. The program may not actually HANG, but it is extraordinarily slow to respond. I left it hung in the background for a while (maybe 20 min) and when I closed the window on top, the Troopmaster window was active. I got it to activate the DOTNET function, and now it seems to be acting like bug 8997. Is the slow response a different issue?
I have a problem when TM is using the moving water background. It seems like it's hung, but I think it's just that it's REALLY REALLY SLOW. The way I got around it was to disable gecko, then set the TM background in File->Preferences to still water. I'm not at the machine where I have TM installed now, so I'm going by memory, but try this: - rename the gecko folder in the windows directory temporarily - run TroopMaster. You should get a popup about HTML rendering being disabled, or something like that. Click Ok, then set the background under Prefereneces to Still Water. - exit TM. - restore gecko folder - get back in TM. If wine wants to install gecko, let it. Things should work now, except for the DotNet hanging bug. I don't know if this is a wine bug, but I haven't noticed the moving water problem on XP or Vista. Hope this helps. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
