First, I don't exactly know how to set up wine and ODBC, and I don't have the
program to test it.

As far as I know, you need to install ODBC drivers, too. How to do that depends
on your distro.
Running the program with "WINEDEBUG=+odbc" could give you more information in
the log.

You could also try the native ODBC drivers with "winetricks mdac28 msxml4 mfc42
jet40" I think.
