The crashes were rare at the start of the game (once an hour maybe) but started happening every 10 minutes or so later on for some reason. The builtin xudio2_7 dll is missing about half the ingame sound like others have reported but also seems to cause ingame freezing for 5-10 seconds at a time every 30 seconds or so for me which doesn't happen with the native.
