[Bug 35812] crashes when performing action on word for kindle

I am getting what looks like the same issue with the latest version of the
Kindle reader app. It started when I was downloading the dictionary, and
continues even now. I have a recent OS (Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon (x64), and the
latest version of the reader (downloaded and installed today).
