Upgraded to kernel26-rc kernel. It works now.

$ uname -a
Linux bstation 2.6.35-rc6-rc #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jul 28 17:41:41 CEST 2010
x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
