All that looks correct.

That is just +hid_report,+file?  Could you include a  +hid,+hid_minidriver

You probably do not need the hex dump from the reads. 

It may be that the data is reaching the application and other problems are
coming up.  So a +relay or something will help tell us what the application is
doing once the read returns data.
