Tested under wine 7.18 and Majaro Linux 21.3. 

Actually I'm experiencing some regressions, The retail and the 1.5 version of
the game both crash on start (I've pasted the output log from the 1.0 on-disc
release). 

As noted on this thread, the installer available on Archive.org is corrupted
and won't work even on Windows 98 running on real hardware.
