[Bug 12359] Multiple apps can't detect audio CDs (affects Express Rip, Exact Audio Copy, dbpoweramp CD Ripper)

Is this still an issue in GNU/Linux? I just installed Exact Audio Copy and
Express Rip and both were able to detect and read an audio CD from the (real)
drive.

I inserted the CD both before the programs were running and after and in both
cases they found the CD and extracted tracks from the CD.
