Both SIV 4.17 (downloadable from http://www.mediafire.com/?1sta7dx5ue2rfrs ) and newest SIV 4.25 properly detect wine as a platform, and changes default behaviour. I couldn't reproduce the error, I clicked the hidden button Over the "C" letter in "CPU-0" on the first screen and I got my proper network status in new window.
