Thanks for following through with that, Michael.  In fact, CryptGenRandom
should work well for generating entropy:  it just reads /dev/urandom.  As far
as I know, OpenSSL works reasonably well on Wine.  (And as a former user of
PMail for DOS back in the NetWare days, I feel compelled to say:  thanks,
David!)
