I downloaded port95nt.zip from the link in comment 8 and tried to replicate the issue without success. That driver is obviously not functioning, but at least it fails gracefully. I couldn't find any dlportio.sys file anywhere in the prefixes. The linked program installs a DLPORTIO.DLL, though. Can you compare the date/version of the drivers?
