I have noticed that in my installation it is not really "large" amounts of text, but small amounts. Here is one example: - In a station with all windows closed I get ~100 FPS, - Open the skill training queue it drops down to 25 FPS, - Pause the queue but leave it opened I get 80 FPS. The difference between pausing the queue is just 2 numbers that change every second (timers) and the flashing box that shows the level being trained. FPS slowdown seems also be related to blinking text.
