The graphics seemed garbled (it's a d3d11 title), but the main menu was at least usable. In order to get Uplay working, Wine Staging patches are required (which has been the case for a very long time now). I don't know if other Staging patches not related to Uplay were also required - happy to report back when the Uplay patches make it upstream.
