[Bug 34052] The Witcher: Character models are sometimes invisible

attachment 50908 and attachment 51668 both work as workarounds, but the
decisions seems to be to implement this in a toggleable fashion, since there
might be a performance hit. I think we're waiting for either Fever to do more
performance tests or Matteo Bruni to rewrite his patch. Not entirely sure
which.
