I am still using the same version of wine (wine-1.3.6-69-g645a65f) that worked fine before the latest patch. The patch notes (http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=583943) do list "Anarchy Online no longer supports versions of Windows earlier than Windows XP".
