Haven't tested extensively but I'll also confirm that I was able to login and move around with
gentoo-sources-2.6.32-r1 Wine 1.1.43
I am at the same kernel level. I found that wine 1.1.44 crashed just the same as on the newer kernel. It seems 1.1.43 is the only stable one at the moment.
It sounds like a change was introduced in the 1.1.44 set but not present during regression testing and thus wasn't visible until the 3.3.5 patch came out.
wine-1.2-rc4-119-g410f8e9 + sc2 "hack" kernel-2.6.32-gentoo-r11 with lspci (for completeness) 02:0f.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8110SC/8169SC Gigabit Ethernet (rev 10) The above work fine for me. I'm not sure that there is just a wine bug or just a kernel bug, feels like wine is exercising some part of the networking stack that it broken or changed in later kernels. I wonder what it is. If i get time i'll look in dmesg and see if I'm getting anything odd back. I expect that 1.2_rc4 (without the "SC2 hack") will work fine, but do not have the time to test to night or tomorrow. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
