The ability to shift+tab (GameOverlayUI.exe) is a different bug (see bug
11319).  For some odd reason it was called "unfixable" and labeled as WONTFIX. 
I am fairly certain (though I have not confirmed this yet) that this does in
fact work in CrossOver games.  If I can confirm that fact then I will post in
11319 that it is not impossible.
