[Bug 35263] Anno 1602 Dutch version Patch 1.04 breaks launcher (menu items disappear, saving games doesn't work anymore)

I am running the game with a debugger because I suspect something in
directsound to make it crash from time to time.  but I didn't manage to get a
clear view yet.
I am running the game as root because a normal user apparently can't read the
copy protection on the cdrom drive :(
