The patch that causes the remaining problem after
0e0b704f5b48d1c0bba1f1e0b1e37fd77839c725 is reverted is the next commit: 
commit    ad8389dc3988e7a5e5f8717786ed416ca7471b62
gdi32: Do not load 16-bit gdi.exe by default.

Reverting both ad8389dc3988e7a5e5f8717786ed416ca7471b62 and
0e0b704f5b48d1c0bba1f1e0b1e37fd77839c725 fixes the problem.
