Is it possible that this issue is related in some way to IQualityControl ({56a868a5-0ad4-11ce-b03a-0020af0ba770}) being unimplemented?
No. The resampler is just too resourse-intensive for some games. See http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2012-May/114356.html and http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2012-May/114357.html for two alternative patches and explanation. Please: * read the text accompanying the first patch, * bring them up to date (if they aren't) and apply one (I don't really care which one) as a band-aid, * then investigate why switching the resampler via the HQBuffersMax registry setting affects the non-audio thread CPU usage in some games (that's what I suspect to be the real bug). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
