I've installed wine on a clean wineprefix. I tried the game on wine 1.2 and got the in-game crash, so I upgraded to wine 1.3.28 and also got the in-game crash. Attached you'll find the log. I should also mention that the sound sometimes worked and sometimes not on 1.3.28 (it worked perfectly on 1.2 with the mmdevapi disabled), but that's all secondary to the in-game crash. The log attached is with the sound working on 1.3.28 (one of those rare times).
