I've tested that version and the mouse still doesn't work correctly with my application. Additionally, I can report that if I run configure with --without-xinput2 the mouse works correctly. Finally, I'm doing all testing on an Ubuntu 10.04 x86 host system in case that might be relevant. I see no reason to do another git bisect since I tested the intermediate releases (1.3.21 and 1.3.22) and they had exactly the same behavior.
