That FIXME is harmless and probably not the cause. Lots of installers yield this message. Run the following commandline from installer directory: WINEDEBUG=+tid,+seh,+relay wine [installer] >log.txt 2>&1 Replace [installer] with setup/installer filename. When the error message box appears do 'wineserver -k' from another console. If the logfile gets too large (several megs), use `tail -n 20000 log.txt` to take the 20000 last lines and after bzip2 -9 it attach the archive to this bug.
