I originally noticed the problem with Windows XP SP2 on the new WineTestBot
(QEmu).

However I get the same failures if I remove the sound card on VMware with
Windows XP SP3 and even with Windows 7 SP1. I can also confirm that your patch
gets rid of the winmm failures in both cases.
