I ended up installing every dlls that seemed even remotely related. It still didn't work and got more errors; but I was having issues anyway and went ahead and reinstalled the OS and then installed vcrun2005 for those dlls. It intalls ok after installing the vcrun2005 dlls from a fresh install and lets me attempt to log in, but it hangs while "initializing" as described on the status bar at the bottom.
