I have a similar problem with World of Warcraft, when running in fullscreen mode and I switch to another desktop. When I try to open WoW again, its frozen. Nothing is rendered, but its transparent and like a layer over the desktop, and the only option is, to switch back to another desktop again and kill WoW.
I'm using KDE 4 - if this matters.
This behavior appears since wine 1.2rc3 (maybe since rc2, but have not tried this). Wine 1.2rc1 works fine.
I've also tried version 1.3.2 but its still the same.
