Could you please attach output from wine 5.9 and 5.11, so we can compare and confirm if it's the same error? Certainly would not hurt the case, and could help developers to fix it.
The game doesn't work in Staging 5.12 because winebuild-FakeDlls patchset is disabled (see comment #14), it is unrelated to the issue this bug report is about.
