Are you really running Wine Staging? Why? Try vanilla Wine.
I feel like this is a bit of an odd question to ask. Presumably either Staging is necessary to run this application or some other one. We do support Staging, so to react to its use with confusion is a little dissonant. That said, when filing bugs against Staging (and especially regressions) it is certainly most helpful to also test the corresponding upstream release. Downgrading to 4.16 fixed the problem.

Well, "need to" is strong wording, but it'll certainly improve the chances of the bug getting fixed quickly.
