Installation of MS Office 2010 failed again:
WINEDEBUG=+msi wine setup.exe > ms_office2010_msi_32.log 2>&1 gzip ms_office2010_msi_32.log

It appears to get past the point where it accesses machine.config and now fails on a service that doesn't start.
