Please bear with me, I'm new to Mint and Wine.

I initially downloaded Wine from Software Manager. I tried to follow the
directions here to update to the latest version.

As to the locale, I have no idea. I have tried to run Version 5 from both the
desktop link that was created as well as the icon within the Wine menu from the
start menu.
