Magicka rarely starts the first time you try it. I am using wine 1.6, and did install dotnet3.5 into my prefix using winetricks. However, contrary to the claims, using the pulse audio drivers does not fix this bug. It changes the symptoms though. Now I often get it to start, but it enters a state where all I see is a mouse cursor and a blank yellow screen. That state is worse than crashing since only a logout from my desktop via ctrl-alt-delete helps. Fortunately if you keep trying you can eventually get the game to launch.
