wine error output

having trouble getting msvcr80.dll to operate. have downloaded the library via
winetricks, coped dll to the root directory of app I'm attempting to run, yet
when I try to run it it gives me a failed to initialise error.

hoping for some help on this, any other relevant info I should post?
