By the way, if you start a new profile and there are no default joystick
mappings even after loading defaults it means the game isn't seeing your
joystick. If it sees the joystick it supplies a reasonable default mapping.

I had to use 98 compatibility level for it to see the joystick. But after that
it worked great.
