Install IE6 Once IE has installed, type wine iexplore.exe in the Internet Explorer directory to prompt gecko. Check that the following dlls are there and if needed, add them: msvcirt.dll msvcp50.dll msvcp80.dll msvcr70.dll msvcr80.dll msvcrt.dll msvcrt10.dll msvcrt20.dll msvcrdt.dll For these one there is no need to overwrite the existing ones. They many not be all needed by the .net but the lacking of these dlls may cause a runtime error fusion.dll required by the .net Secur32.dll in wine has to be replaced or added. ( I am not using any dlls overwrite, I usually simply replace them in system 32) then maybe the windoows installer is needed (is provided in my case by trados) Install vcredist_x86.exe. The installation will not complete, it will crash because of a component not being able to register but AFTER it had installed the components the .net requires. start the installation of the .net 2.
