Paul, I did manage to download BF1942. After it finished downloading, it did
hang at 100%, but killing the process EAProxyServer.exe allowed the
installation to finish and also allowed me to launch the game with no problems.
The issues with downloading and installation are linked to another wine bug
that you can get to from the origin appdb page.
