When there is a drive that points to / the log generates: wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\Z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available. (in my case drive Z: is the one pointing to /) There seems to be a reason for denying access to root and in my opinion, wine should consider that case and provide an adequate FS volume label and serial if this happens.
