It might be a more valuable use of time to create an XVNC server that supports render than to try to fix Wine to workaround no render. So, I do not suggest or ask this to be fixed. It may not be worth the time to fix Wine to support the older server vs. fixing XVNC to support Xrender which would also result in many other applications working better with Xvnc.
