The bug was caused by the instructions on the update WINE page. I followed the instructions exactly like they are posted and THIS bug occured afterwards, therefore it is A WINE BUG.
Those packages are put up by volunteers. Wine itself only provides source code. That said, no one else has yet complained, so likely the problem is on your end.
