Such a game is Return to Mysterious Island 1: http://www.gamershell.com/download_7332.shtml 1. menu options are missing decorations; buttons in the menu are not drawn (only the first button, <New Game> is drawn). 2. items in the inventory screen temporarily disappear when you hold the mouse pointer over an object.
