Ok, *exactly* the same behaviour under Gnome as under XFCE: Keyboard focus
follows mouse when using a virtual desktop.

This will probably explain why some people are reporting all is well: try again
with a wine virtual desktop, and check where your mouse is!

Should I change the title of the bug to reflect this new behaviour, or would
that be too confusing?
