So, I nuked my wine prefix and reinstalled it. The install process failed, which has happened before, so I used a workaround script provided by Lutris (https://github.com/DrDoctor13/wine-origin-updater), and this extracts the files from the installer into the proper directory. When I tried to start Origin (from the terminal) it immediately crashed.
