Re. F.E.A.R.: I found that disabling debug output appears to improve things
much more for "Extraction Point" (first expansion pack) than the main game.
Oddly enough, saving games also takes _much_ longer in the main game (can be in
excess of 10 seconds) than in EP (rarely above 1s).
