I don't think that's the case; the line
if w_workaround_wine_bug 30845 "Adding .NETFramework registry key.  Ignore 
fatal error dialog if it pops up." ,1.5.3 1.5.7,
only applies the workaround for wine versions 1.5.4 through 1.5.6.
