In addition, flash player in firefox will not play for more than 5 seconds while Steam is running. Also, the audio problem isn't limited to linux apps for me as the opener said; Steam games are affected as well. I'm on Ubuntu Hardy 64-bit with wine-0.9.59 from the ubuntu repos. I see some of the same command-line output as others: err:dscapture:widDsCreate DirectSoundCapture flag not set This sound card's driver does not support direct access The (slower) DirectSound HEL mode will be used instead.
