So yes, Acrobat Pro is loading and using Microsoft Word as part of the conversion process. Question: how should wine respond to this sort of feature? Should it look for a wine-based MS Office install? Should it give a message indicating the nature of the error? Should it attempt to fool Acrobat Pro by loading, say, OpenOffice instead?
