...when you were trying to make a testcase for this problem, are you sure you
copied all the code involved in creating the combobox *and* populating its
model ?

Cause that sounds like you're overwriting/reusing a var somewhere without
noticing it...

Could also be some threading problem, but your line suggests otherwise.
