A workaround shared in GOG forums [1] is to disable "Allow the window manager to control the windows" in the WINE configuration, but while it does get rid of the offset it is at the cost of the game immediately exiting during the first video showing a couple of logos. I think this is a regression, as I am quite sure I could play it in fullscreen with no display offset prior to that (using a WINE virtual desktop). I am going to run some extra tests and try to find what is the trigger for this problem.
