Hacky test patch

Adding a proof-of-concept patch, which should make at least on Ryzen 5 / 7 the
logical / physical cores reported correctly. I need to do a bunch of other
improvements to make it a real patch (skip cores in a nicer way, test on intel,
..). The purpose of the patch is just to show if we are searching in the right
direction.
