figured out the problem.

Wine is only installing some of the registry entries.

The missing smart icons of of them:

You can troubleshoot this by exporting 
     [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lotus
from a Windows 1`0 installation of Smart suite, then comparing it to what wine
installed when running setup.exe for Smart Suite's ISO.
